Meta Hiltebrand:

Born in 1983 into a family of craftsmen, Meta Hiltebrand grew up in the Swiss town of Bachenbülach near Zurich. After training as a chef in Zurich, she went on to work at the restaurant of Anton Mosimann, former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II.
At just 23, she became Switzerland’s youngest head chef at Restaurant Monte-Primero in Zurich’s Old Town. In 2011, she opened her first restaurant, Meta’s Kutscherhalle. From 2013, she also ran Le Chef, a venue originally founded in 2009 by the late gastronomy pioneer Fred Tschanz.
In 2007, at just 24, Meta launched her TV career with Kochen.tv, broadcast across all German-Swiss regional channels. Many more appearances on Swiss and German television followed. In February 2016, she appeared alongside Tim Mälzer on Kitchen Impossible (VOX) and in 2017 faced off against Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue in another episode. She also featured on Grill den Profi and Grill den Henssler (both VOX), Kampf der Köche (Sat.1), and served as a judge on Die Küchenschlacht (ZDF). Early in 2019, she joined the daily cooking format essen & trinken Für jeden Tag (RTLplus), alongside Andrea Schirmaier-Huber, Ludwig Heer, and Ronny Loll. Since 2024, she publishes her own magazine.
