Clara Hunger is a passionate chef who blends modern techniques with traditional craftsmanship while consistently shaping her own distinctive style. Her creativity and uncompromising commitment to quality have taken her into some of Germany’s most renowned kitchens. Most recently, she served as sous-chef at the Michelin-starred Berlin restaurant Tulus Lotrek, where she left her mark with a cuisine that is playful, flavor-packed, and deeply rooted in the finest ingredients.
Clara Hunger discovered her passion for cooking at an early age. She trained at Tim Mälzer’s Bullerei in Hamburg, where she not only honed her technical skills but also learned to value teamwork and creativity in the kitchen. She went on to refine her craft in top restaurants across Germany and Austria, including as head chef at XO Seafood Bar in Hamburg. There, she developed a deep appreciation for product quality and flavor complexity—a philosophy that continues to define her work today.
Clara Hunger represents a new generation of chefs who bring pleasure, sustainability, and innovation into perfect harmony. She doesn’t cook for awards or prestige, but for people who love good food—authentic, grounded, and always full of surprises.
