Joachim Llambi

Germany’s most famous judge and critic.

Joachim Llambi:

For many years, Joachim Llambi has appeared on television as a host and judge in various formats. He is a welcome guest on numerous talk and gala shows across different networks. A German-Spanish banker, former stockbroker, and former professional tournament dancer, he has been active as a judge in both professional and amateur dance associations since ending his competitive career.

Born and raised in Duisburg, Joachim Llambi holds Spanish citizenship. After graduating from the Neusprachliches Gymnasium Neudorf in 1984, he trained as a banker at Stadtsparkasse Duisburg. In the late 1980s, he became a stockbroker at the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange, later working at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange from 1997 to 2012.

Llambi became widely known to German television audiences as a jury member on the RTL show Let’s Dance. Since 2019, he has toured regularly across Germany with the show. He has also hosted, among other projects, the RTL game show Boys vs. Girls with Mirja Boes and appeared as co-host alongside Andrea Kiewel on ZDF Fernsehgarten and ZDF Fernsehgarten on Tour. He hosted the daily quiz show Jeopardy on RTLplus and is a regular “bloodhound” on RTL’s hit investigative comedy format Mario Barth deckt auf.

Joachim Llambi also hosts numerous galas, corporate events, and client functions. As a speaker, he is frequently invited to address topics such as constructive criticism, finance, and the stock market at a wide range of events.

On the subject of critique, Llambi authored the non-fiction book “Das wollte ich Ihnen schon immer einmal sagen” (“I’ve Always Wanted to Tell You That”), published by ECON/Ullstein Verlag.

For Let’s Dance, Joachim Llambi and the team were awarded the German Television Award in 2019 in the category “Best Entertainment Show.”
